NURSERY INFRASTRUCTURE: Bangalow Wholesale Nursery comprises 1.5ha of growing beds with 7600 m2 of hail net, computerised irrigation, subsurface drainage, water recycling system and steel trellis support for advanced trees all help to ensure
quality stock and continuity of supply. A 32meg license to main storage dam plus a 3.5meg lined recycling dam provide water security.
Our nursery recycles 100% of its irrigated water in a closed system, protecting the surrounding environment from runoff. We use RECYCLED polypropylene pots. Polypropelene is infinitely and 100% recyclable for use in nursery containers. From inception a property management plan has
been implemented to protect the flora, fauna and unique water catchment
of the 14ha site, which boasts 143 native flora species and a subtropical rainforest
remnant of heritage significance. Management is committed to industry best practice as the nursery expands and develops with the aim of gaining Accreditation.
It is the policy of BWN not to grow plants
highly susceptible to Myrtle Rust.
BWN has implemented the NGIA Myrtle Rust Management Plan. All Myrtaceae stock is treated by preventative and curative fungicide as described in 1A 18.1
